How can Live at Home help?

  • One-To-One Befriending

Befriending can offer regular visits, perhaps to have a general chat and catch up, play cards, go to appointments or generally enjoy time being out and about.

  • Regular Social Activities

Often based around keeping members part of their communities, these activities provide a chance for members to get together, have some fun and enjoy company.

  • Monthly Lunch Clubs

With the help of our fantastic network of staff and volunteers, we host 30 monthly lunch clubs.

  • Film Clubs

A chance to enjoy some company and talk with volunteers and staff whilst re-living some classic films from the past.

  • Northern Men In Sheds

A workshop for creative projects involving metalwork, carpentry, and other skills. But members can just meet for a chat over a cup of tea or coffee, or for a game of cards.

Volunteer

We rely on our volunteers – without them we wouldn’t be able to offer the range of activities which are so valued by our members. By giving up some of your free time you can have the satisfaction of knowing you are making a real difference to the lives of older people in your local community.

Fundraise

Whether you want to create your own event or take part in one we’ve organised, there are lots of ways to fundraise and support our work helping older people across the Island. The Live At Home team are always happy to help support our fabulous fundraisers and make events as successful (and as much fun!) as possible.
